For BW Packaging Systems Italia, part of the Barry-Wehmiller Group, we developed a programme that began with technical and management support for the redevelopment of its Mestrino manufacturing site. We oversaw the entire construction phase for the refurbishment of the production building roof, coordinating activities, stakeholders and operational interfaces to ensure the uninterrupted continuity of the manufacturing operations below. In parallel, we supported the delivery of the new offices, assisting the client in coordinating the works and managing the critical issues associated with carrying out the project within a fully operational site. Following completion of this phase, we assumed ongoing responsibility for Facility Management through an outsourced governance model.
A dedicated senior Facility Manager, operating both on site and remotely, took responsibility for service requests, tickets, suppliers, documentation and interventions, using a digital platform as the single point of communication and control. Each request was assessed, classified and managed through to completion, with continuous monitoring of timescales, quality and costs. The service also included the development of the technical asset register, management of the intervention history, supplier performance assessment and periodic reporting. This integrated model ensured continuity across project delivery, construction and day-to-day operations, providing the client with control, specialist expertise and continuous oversight without the need to establish a complete internal Facility Management function.
