Culture and Institutional

We generate collective value from public spaces, enhancing experience, accessibility and social impact.

We turn public spaces into a driver of collective value

The Context

Public, cultural and institutional spaces are no longer assessed solely on the basis of their function, but also on how effectively people can experience and use them. A museum, library, public authority building or civic space must ensure accessibility, safety, intuitive wayfinding, comfort and service continuity for users with widely differing needs. It is not enough for a space simply to be open, it must also be understandable, welcoming and consistent with its public purpose. Too often, however, day-to-day management is regarded merely as maintenance or a response to urgent issues. As a result, minor service disruptions, less visible barriers, prolonged intervention times or unclear responsibilities ultimately affect people’s experience, the institution’s reputation and the space’s ability to foster participation, trust and collective value.

What

We help public authorities, institutions and cultural organisations make public spaces more accessible, legible and capable of generating value for the community. We intervene when day-to-day management risks being reduced to maintenance activities or responses to urgent issues, while people’s experience and the civic purpose of these places are overlooked. We turn Facility Management into a governance tool capable of safeguarding service quality, continuity of use, institutional reputation and the social impact generated by each space, through management that is more informed, structured and responsive to the real needs of users and the communities served over time.

How

We begin by observing the space, its patterns of use and the processes that shape its day-to-day quality. We identify operational criticalities, unclear responsibilities, barriers to access and areas where service delivery does not fully support the user experience. From this analysis, we develop governance models, procedures, roles, control tools and monitoring criteria. We can work alongside internal teams, support tendering processes and service specifications, or provide a dedicated outsourced operational function, coordinating suppliers, interventions and activities with close attention to the public value of the space and its long-term continuity, including throughout day-to-day operations.

Why

Because a public space generates value only when it works effectively for those who move through it, use it and recognise it as part of their community. Fragmented management can lead to service disruptions, prolonged response times, uncontrolled costs and a gradual erosion of trust. With a more structured governance function, the institution gains greater control, continuity and perceived quality, without dispersing resources. People experience clearer, more welcoming and reliable environments, while the space strengthens participation, institutional reputation and social impact over time, better supporting its day-to-day public mission and its connection with the local community.
